Mobile Monday Moscow opening event

This event was organized due to the support of QArea (www.qarea.com), a leading Ukrainian IT company. Sponsorship of this event was provided by Nokia (one of the world leaders in the mobile telecommunication technologies area), Acision (the company that launched the first SMS service), large Russian content-provider Avant Mobile and company Taptu (an innovator in the development of mobile search engines).

The meeting was opened by Jari Tammisto, a Mobile Monday Founder and CEO, who spoke about the activities of the world largest community for mobile industry professionals and about the opportunities the community offers to the Russian market players. Then Vladimir Shulga from Infocommunication Union expressed the Russian telecom community expectations from Mobile Monday presence in Moscow. Karl Johanneson, a representative of international consulting company J'son & Partners, in his brilliant speech outlined the present situation in the Russian telecom market and presented his forecasts for the nearest future. In the second part of the meeting the speakers presented innovations in Russia and worldwide. Kirill Polyakov from the company Avant Mobile told about content, networks, new generation services and competition in the era of convergence. Gian Luca Cioletti, Forum Nokia, described Forum Nokia activities that are aimed to support and optimize the efforts of software developers programming for mobile devices. Stephen Ives, Taptu, presented social-assisted search, a new direction in mobile search area and its advantages. Eventually, Sirous Kavehercy from Acision outlined the company's vision of further 3G perspectives and also described a business model of the operator of the future that should definitely switch from technology to user.

All the participants were pleased with the meeting and the level of the event organization as well as the range of interesting reports. In particular, the representatives of the company Playfon noted that «organization of such seminars makes great contribution to the development of leading methods of work, at the same time turning out with large-scale projects and progressive technologies for the company and with unique services and their new quality for the consumer. Moreover, the experience exchange in form of business meetings is an additional motivation for the development of partnership relations with the representatives of telecomunication market.»

During the conference company QArea gave all the owners of Nokia phones series S60 the possibility to download two Bluetooth games, developed by the specialists of QArea (Sumo and Poker). Delivery of the games via Bluetooth was succesfully accomplished due to the solution of young Russian company Yami, specializing in Bluetooth marketing. Approximately 50% of the participants of the event succesfully downloaded the QArea games on their phones.
